Our Reason To Be
The idea for a new party was born in early 2023 out of our founder's compounding frustrations at the depths of the problems facing Canadians and our existing politicians' love of surface level solutions and culture war distractions. After a rocky first attempt our movement was reborn as The Forward party and entered a period of self-reflection.
​Today, we stand at the edge of great change. Ahead of us lie many existential challenges to Canada's continued prosperity, most were of our own creation, some were thrown onto us by outside forces.
Our status-quo politicians downplay these threats and instead offer us comfortable status-quo bandaids meanwhile everyday Canadians despair at their fortunes and lost dreams.
Worse yet, the only political movements offering an alternative worldview promise to either revive failed ideologies or celebrate outright extremism.

The Forward Party promises to change all that.
Our ultimate goal is to have a vision which inspires hope for a brighter tomorrow within reach for Canada. The beating heart of this message will be our values of unity, vision, virtue, valour, and vibes, and its guardrails will be the following 2 rejections and 3 promises.

1. We reject the status-quo political worldview.
2. We reject any attempts at reviving past political worldviews.

1. We promise a national vision that leaves no Canadian behind.
2. We promise policies that will not settle for half-measures.
3. We promise to do politics differently.
It is our firm conviction that our message of pragmatic unity is precisely what Canada needs. Because only when we put our hearts and minds together are we able to stand resilient as a people and overcome whatever the world throws our way.
